THE SECOND AMENDMENT RECOGNITION ACT

This year our Legislature passed a bill creating a TAX FREE WEEKEND on handguns, rifles and shotguns.  The bill that was passed was HB 1143 and it amends 12-36-2120.  THE SECOND AMENDMENT WEEKEND BEGINS AT 12:01 A.M. ON THE FRIDAY AFTER THANKSGIVING AND ENDS AT 12 MIDNIGHT THE FOLLOWING SATURDAY NIGHT. This legislation took effect July 1, 2008.
